A Nigerian man, Ezebunwo Ichemati, has said some people now enter banks just to receive cold air from their Air Conditions and not to withdraw or pay money.
Nigeria is currently experiencing a severe heat wave, with temperatures soaring above 40°C in some parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), in a statement on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, said Air Temperatures hit 41°C over the North and 39°C over the South with model Projections indicating temperatures to remain high in the coming days.
According to the statement, the heat wave can cause dehydration, heat rash, fainting, chicken pox disease, measles, weakness of the body, slight fever, respiratory Issues; and increased vulnerability to chronic conditions.
