Welcome to the Age of Ingratitude. But you still have an obligation to your mother. You MUST continue to look after her even better than before. Your obligation is not directly proportional to how much gratitude she shows you. It is a mandatory requirement. If I tell you the series of ingratitude I have experienced, you will start laughing at your own. But it doesn’t matter. The health and the hands and the mind that generate the wealth , do not belong to you. They belong to the one who showers rainfall on both the good and wicked. Follow His example. But let your mum know that you know exactly who she is. Remember, that conversation must be respectful on your part. You are not going to tell her so she can change. No, you are telling her so she knows that you know. As to your sisters, I presume they are all adults. Let them go and hustle like every other adult. You owe them nothing. Don’t give the food made for kings to paupers.

Na so o my brother. Same happened to my husband. He lost his job and everyone took off except for a few. When he got his job back, they all came running back again.

Lol this is normal in Nigeria. See as a first child your parents and siblings feel entitled to your labour. Also they want to bring you down to level if you are successful (this is called see finish) as if change is inevitable. You need to smartly keep your distance for your sanity and also so you don’t do something stupid when they start mis behaving. God is your strength. It is well!!!!

That’s the sad and blunt reality bro. Just love Dem cuz u chose to luv them and not necessarily cuz they deserve it and expect nothing in return.
Truth is unconditional love is scarce these days.
