An airline had to place dry clothes on the wet floor so their passengers could board their flight after heavy rain caused flooding at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State.
A video from the scene shows airline staff arranging orange vests on the wet floor to mop up the rain water.
Other airline staff stood holding umbrellas at the entrance to the aircraft to keep passengers dry.
Sharing the video, PDP Chieftain, Dele Momodu wrote: “This is a patriotic appeal to Nigerian Airport Authorities to PLEASE save our country this unfortunate embarrassment… This was how Virgin Atlantic boarded its passengers to London this morning in Lagos… A distraught passenger just sent me this footage…”
